| Bernard Brooks - Brooks is a half-time resident of St. Croix. He works in a variety of mediums but collage, incorporating tissue paper and fabric among other elements, is his most popular. Subjects and materials derive from travels to four continents and the islands. A product of Philadelphia College of Art, University of Maryland and Howard University, Brooks was chief medical illustrator for Howard's School of Dentistry for 25 years. He urges his his students to void enslavement to profit and technology: "This is profession first and a business second." |
