Dan Gibbons - Drawn by the vitality of the people, the vibrancy of colors, and teh variety of natural forms, Dan continures his second passionate decade of painting in the Caribbean. Gibbons responds to his subjects on-the-spot with paint laden brush in hand and without the use of preliminary drawings. He tries to capture the immediacy of his perceptions - what he thinkgs feels and senses -- in paint. Gibbons teaches color theory at the Parsons School of Design and watercolor painting at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden in New York city.
