Kat Pierie has a passion for the tropical night-blooming cereus, "one of the most inspiring beauties of nature". She has lived on all three of the main U.S. Virgin Islands, drawing creative energy from the enchanting beauty of the natural environment. Her time is divided between a part-time teaching position at Country Day School in St. Croix and being a professional artist.
