Eric Winter - Eric first came to St. Thomas in 1954 with a degree in Fine Art from the University of Maryland, and the island has been her permanent home since. He has taught private and college-level art classes. His subjects include hard-working West Indians using their traditional, colorful methods of sailing and boat-building. "I love my home, and am grateful to have the ability to record the days past, the it used to be for me."

Eric Winter passed away on January 3, 2001.
